Cools the blood and stops bleeding, nourishes Yin and moistens the body. Used for thirst, diabetes, and bleeding due to heat in the blood.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for patients with Yang deficiency accompanied by cold and diarrhea. Contraindicated during pregnancy unless prescribed.

📖 Usage & Dosage

Use raw (Sheng Di) for cooling, or prepared (Shu Di) for nourishing. 9-15 grams, decocted.

Rehmannia is a purely Chinese herb unfamiliar in Arab folk medicine, but it is used in TCM clinics across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
