Nourishes blood and softens the liver, relieves pain, and calms liver yang. Used for menstrual pain, muscle cramps, and migraine headaches.
Contraindications
Contraindicated for patients with cold diarrhea. Do not use with rhubarb (Da Huang). Contraindicated for pregnant women in the first months.
📖 Usage & Dosage
Decoct 6-15 grams with other herbs. For sedative use: lightly dry-fry before decocting.
🏠 Peony
The peony flower (crosswood) is grown as an ornamental plant in some Arab gardens. Its root is not commonly used in traditional Arab folk medicine.
