Premature Ejaculation
Overview
Premature ejaculation means ejaculation always or nearly always occurs within about one minute of penetration, or there is a persistent lack of control causing distress and avoidance of intimacy. Chinese medicine attributes it mainly to insecure kidney qi, yin deficiency with effulgent fire, heart–spleen deficiency, or damp-heat in the liver channel. Behavioral training, psychological adjustment, and partner cooperation are central, with TCM as an adjunct.
Pattern differentiation (clinical patterns)
Insecure Kidney Qi (Kidney Qi Fails to Consolidate)

Nourish yin and downbear fire.
Heart–Spleen Deficiency
Somewhat rapid ejaculation with palpitations, insomnia, forgetfulness, dreamful sleep, fatigue, poor appetite, pale tongue, fine pulse.
Tonify the heart and spleen.

Daily care & prevention
Sleep regularly, avoid late nights and exhaustion, and reduce anxiety and excessive focus on timing; the stop–start technique, pelvic-floor training, and diaphragmatic breathing can help. Stop smoking and limit alcohol. Gently massage Guanyuan (CV4), Shenshu (BL23), Taixi (KI3), and Sanyinjiao (SP6). If distress is significant, a men's-health or sexual-medicine specialist offers reliable behavioral and, when needed, medical treatment.
When to seek medical care
Seek care when there is concurrent ED, blood in semen, painful ejaculation, urinary frequency/urgency/pain, or perineal heaviness; get professional help for marked distress, relationship strain, or significant anxiety/depression.
