Strongly purges water and disinhibits, relaxes the bowels; for edema and distention, difficult urination and defecation, phlegm-fluid retention, qi counterflow with wheezing and cough, and parasitic accumulation with abdominal pain; 'Trumpet Vine Seed'.
Contraindications
⚠️ Contraindicated in pregnancy and in the weak/constitutionally deficient; toxic in large doses.
