Releases wind-cold through the skin, promotes eruption of rashes, stops bleeding (when charred). Used for common cold with skin itching.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with severe internal heat and excessive sweating. Do not use the raw form for those with blood deficiency.
📖 Usage & Dosage
Decoct 4.5-9 grams. Charred for topical use to stop bleeding. Preferably used raw for common cold.
🏠 Perilla
In Arab folk medicine, its use resembles that of certain mint and basil varieties for treating colds through sweating.
