Astringes essence and reduces urination, binds the intestines to stop diarrhea, and stabilizes menstruation and leukorrhea. Used for seminal emission and spermatorrhea, enuresis and frequent urination, chronic diarrhea and dysentery, and uterine bleeding with leukorrhea.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in cases with excess fire or excess pathogens.
