Chong Yang (ST42)
📍 Location
On the highest point of the dorsum of the foot, between the extensor hallucis longus and extensor digitorum longus tendons, where the dorsal pedal artery pulsates.
🏥 Indications
Yuan-source point of the stomach: stomach pain, distension, facial paralysis, toothache, swelling/pain and weakness of the foot.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Avoid the artery; perpendicular insertion 0.3–0.5 cun.
⚠️ Contraindications
Do not needle deeply over the pulse; protect the dorsal pedal artery.
