Quan Liao (SI18)
📍 Location
On the face, in the depression directly below the outer canthus and under the lower border of the zygomatic bone.
🏥 Indications
Facial paralysis, lid twitch, toothache, cheek swelling, and facial spasm; a key point for facial nerve palsy.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Perpendicular insertion 0.3–0.5 cun, or oblique toward the ear.
⚠️ Contraindications
Keep superficial and mind the infraorbital nerve and vessels.
