Hou Xi (SI3)
📍 Location
On the medial side of the hand, in the depression proximal to the ulnar side of the fifth metacarpophalangeal joint, at the junction of the red and white skin.
🏥 Indications
Stiff pain of the head and neck, lower-back pain, spasm and pain of the fingers, elbow and arm; deafness, red eyes; mania and epilepsy, malaria; shu-stream point of the small intestine channel and one of the eight confluent points, connecting the governing vessel.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Perpendicular insertion 0.5-1 cun; moxibustion applicable.
