Tian Tu (CV22)
📍 Location
On the anterior neck, at the centre of the suprasternal fossa, on the anterior midline.
🏥 Indications
Cough, asthma, chest pain, sore swollen throat, sudden loss of voice, goiter, globus hystericus, dysphagia.
🖐️ Stimulation method
First insert perpendicularly 0.2 cun, then angle the needle downward along the posterior border of the manubrium for 0.5-1 cun; moxibustion applicable.
⚠️ Contraindications
Strictly control the angle and depth; deep insertion is forbidden to avoid injuring the lung and great vessels; to be performed by a qualified practitioner.
