Zhi Yang (GV9)
📍 Location
On the posterior midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra, roughly level with the inferior scapular angles.
🏥 Indications
Jaundice, liver-gallbladder disease, chest and hypochondriac pain, palpitations, cough, shortness of breath, and back pain.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Oblique insertion 0.5–1.0 cun upward.
⚠️ Contraindications
Deep insertion is forbidden to avoid the spinal cord.
