Feng Fu (GV16)
📍 Location
On the posterior midline of the neck, 1 cun above the midpoint of the posterior hairline, in the depression directly below the external occipital protuberance between the trapezius muscles.
🏥 Indications
Headache, stiff neck, wind-cold invasion, sore throat, hoarseness, and consciousness disorders such as stroke and mania.
🖐️ Stimulation method
With the patient seated and head bowed, insert slowly 0.5–1.0 cun toward the chin; do not lift/thrust.
⚠️ Contraindications
Deep or upward needling risks the medulla; experienced practitioners only.
