Dan Shu (BL19)
📍 Location
On the back, below the spinous process of the 10th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.
🏥 Indications
Back-shu point of the gallbladder: jaundice, bitter taste, hypochondriac pain, fatty-food dyspepsia, vomiting, and traditionally gallstones; also the corresponding back pain.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Oblique insertion 0.5–0.8 cun medially.
⚠️ Contraindications
Deep insertion is forbidden to avoid the lung and liver.
