Xin Shu (BL15)
📍 Location
On the back, below the spinous process of the 5th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.
🏥 Indications
Back-shu point of the heart: palpitations, shortness of breath, insomnia, poor memory, night sweats, agitation, cough, and itchy skin.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Oblique insertion 0.5–0.8 cun toward the spine; needle-warming moxibustion for cold patterns.
⚠️ Contraindications
Deep insertion toward the lung is forbidden to prevent pneumothorax.
