Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to clear heat, remove toxins, and cool the blood. It mainly treats bloody dysentery, ulcerative colitis, and uterine bleeding. It also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.
Contraindications
Contraindicated for patients with weak spleen and stomach or chronic diarrhea. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless under medical supervision.
📖 Usage & Dosage
Usual dosage: 6-15 grams per day, decocted in water and taken orally. For external use, grind into powder and apply topically.
