Shao Shang (LU11)
📍 Location
On the radial side of the thumb, about 0.1 cun proximal to the corner of the nail.
🏥 Indications
Jing-well point of the lung: acute sore throat, sudden loss of voice, nosebleed, high fever, coma, and mania; often bled in emergencies.
🖐️ Stimulation method
Shallow insertion 0.1 cun, or prick to release 1–3 drops of blood.
⚠️ Contraindications
Avoid bloodletting in bleeding disorders or with anticoagulants.
