Original
人之有尺，譬如树之有根，枝叶虽枯槁，根本将自生。
Translation
The presence of the cubit pulse in a person is like a tree having roots. Even if the branches and leaves wither, the roots will naturally regenerate.
📝 Commentary
This analogy emphasizes that the cubit pulse reflects the root of life, indicating the body's fundamental vitality. Even when superficial signs seem weak, a healthy root pulse suggests recovery is possible.
