Translation
The methods of needle and moxa began with Xuan Yuan and Qi Bo. There are nine needles and a hundred cones of moxa. Only after understanding the meeting of the channels and points, and the proper timing of tonification and drainage, may one speak of treatment.
📝 Commentary
Gao Wu's Ming-dynasty acupuncture classic. The passage traces needling and moxibustion to the Inner Classic and insists on mastering channels, points and tonify-drain timing before treating.
