奇恒之腑

qí héng zhī fǔ脏腑

概述

The Extraordinary Fu Organs (qí héng zhī fǔ) are a group of six hollow, tube-like structures in Traditional Chinese Medicine that store essential substances rather than transforming food, thus resembling both Fu and Zang organs. They include the brain, marrow, bones, vessels, gallbladder, and uterus, and are closely linked to the Eight Extraordinary Meridians.

理论要点

  • The Extraordinary Fu Organs comprise the brain (nao), marrow (sui), bones (gu), vessels (mai), gallbladder (dan), and uterus (nü zi bao), totaling six organs.
  • These organs are structurally hollow like Fu organs but functionally store essential substances like Zang organs, hence they are considered 'extraordinary'—neither purely Fu nor purely Zang.
  • Except for the gallbladder, they lack the standard exterior-interior (biao-li) pairing with other organs and are not assigned to the Five Phases (wu xing), instead having a special relationship with the Eight Extraordinary Meridians (qi jing ba mai).
  • Each organ has a specific storage function: the brain stores marrow (as the sea of marrow), bones store marrow, vessels store blood, the gallbladder stores bile (jing zhi), and the uterus governs menstruation and fetal development.
  • Their functions are largely dependent on the nourishment of Kidney essence (shen jing) and the support of Liver blood (gan xue) and Qi-blood (qi xue).

常见病机

  • Disorders of the Extraordinary Fu Organs often arise from deficiency of Kidney essence, leading to insufficient marrow, brain weakness, or bone fragility.
  • Liver blood deficiency or Qi stagnation can impair the uterus, causing menstrual irregularities or reproductive issues.
  • Gallbladder disorders may manifest as bile storage or excretion problems, affecting digestion and decision-making.
  • Vessel pathologies, such as blood stasis or vessel weakness, are linked to circulatory and nutritional disturbances.

日常调养

  • Maintain a balanced lifestyle that supports Kidney essence, such as adequate rest, moderate exercise, and stress reduction.
  • Nourish Liver blood through a diet rich in dark leafy greens, legumes, and animal-derived foods in moderation, as appropriate.
  • Avoid excessive fatigue and emotional strain, which can deplete Qi and blood, weakening the Extraordinary Fu Organs.
