气逆
qì nì病机
概述
Qi Ni (Rebellious Qi) is a pathological state in Traditional Chinese Medicine where Qi ascends excessively or fails to descend properly, causing an upward counterflow. It most commonly affects the Lung, Stomach, and Liver, leading to symptoms such as cough, nausea, or headache.
理论要点
- Qi Ni arises when the normal descending action of Qi is impaired, resulting in an abnormal upward movement, often due to excess factors like external pathogens, phlegm-fluid, or food stagnation, or deficiency where Qi lacks the strength to descend.
- Lung Qi rebelling upward manifests as cough and wheezing, as the Lung governs Qi and respiration and should direct Qi downward.
- Stomach Qi rebelling upward causes nausea, vomiting, belching, and hiccups, since the Stomach is responsible for receiving and descending food and fluids.
- Liver Qi rebelling upward leads to red face, bloodshot eyes, head distension, and headache, and in severe cases, blood may follow the rebellious Qi, causing hemoptysis or fainting.
- The condition can be classified as excess or deficiency: excess types involve obstruction by pathogenic factors, while deficiency types involve Qi weakness failing to hold it down, allowing it to float upward.
常见病机
- Excess Qi Ni is typically triggered by external pathogenic invasion, phlegm accumulation, or food retention that blocks the normal descent of Qi.
- Deficiency Qi Ni results from insufficient Qi in the body, particularly in the Kidneys or Spleen, which fails to anchor Qi downward, leading to upward floating.
- Liver Qi Ni often stems from emotional disturbances like anger or frustration, causing Liver Qi to surge upward and disrupt the upper body.
- Chronic Qi Ni can lead to more severe complications, such as bleeding from the upper orifices or loss of consciousness, when Qi forces blood upward.
日常调养
- Maintain emotional balance and avoid excessive anger or stress to prevent Liver Qi from rebelling upward.
- Adopt a regular diet with easily digestible foods to support Stomach Qi descent and avoid overeating or food stagnation.
- Practice gentle breathing exercises or meditation to promote the smooth flow and descent of Lung Qi.
